Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced and motivated Construction Carpenters to join our team. This position will support construction projects focused on bridges, pile driving, retention systems, structural concrete, and general carpentry. Carpenters at Northland perform a wide range of critical tasks, including blueprint and spec reading, fabrication, form setting, welding, rigging and signaling, scaffold construction, and operating large machinery.
Key Responsibilities:

Follow all company and project safety procedures, policies, and regulations.

Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.

Accurately measure and cut materials as required.

Utilize hand tools and operate large machinery safely and effectively.

Perform formwork and fabrication for structural concrete and retention systems.

Conduct rigging and slinging operations safely.

Assemble and construct scaffolding structures.

Perform fastening, welding, and general carpentry tasks as assigned.

Collaborate effectively with team members and support the training of less experienced employees.

Maintain a safe, organized, and clean job site at all times.
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Previous construction or physically demanding job experience preferred.

Physically capable of standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods in all weather and environmental conditions within a moving highway work zone.

Strong ability to listen, take direction, and work as part of a team.
-
Willingness to complete project-specific skills training as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting Wage: $42.25 – $45.75 per hour (Based on Union Contract)
