Pipefitter Job Responsibilities:

Select the type and size of pipe, materials, and equipment (e.g., supports, hangers, hydraulic cylinders) based on job specifications.

Inspect worksites to identify obstructions and plan installation sequences to avoid them.

Cut pipes using tools such as reciprocating saws, pipe cutters, hammers, chisels, cutting torches, or pipe cutting machines.

Thread pipes using a threading machine.

Bend pipes manually or with pipe-bending tools and machines.

Install and mount pipe hangers, brackets, and supports on walls and ceilings.

Assemble and install various metal or nonmetal pipes and fittings.

Secure pipes with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.

Perform minor maintenance and cleaning on tools and equipment.

Follow all safety and project rules and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Pipefitter Qualifications/Skills:
-
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety.
-
Ability to receive instructions and communicate effectively with teammates.

Proficient in reading labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.

Ability to calculate take-outs and interpret plans.
-
Experience in pipefitting within an industrial setting is preferred.
Requirements:

OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance provided).

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
