Job Overview:
The Journeyman Pipefitter ensures the safety, quality, and profitability of commercial mechanical piping installations, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs. This role involves working in various environments and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while delivering high-quality work.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet all requirements of a 4-year apprenticeship program.

Use the necessary tools and equipment for commercial HVAC/piping industry installations.

Direct field crew activities in accordance with job schedules and priorities coordinated with the project manager and foreman.

Submit daily job progress reports to supervisors.

Order stock or fabricated materials to ensure project completion.

Maintain a clean and safe job site, ensuring professional work conditions.

Safely operate and maintain company and rented equipment.

Accurately account for labor hours, materials, and change orders.

Provide on-the-job training and guidance to apprentices and crew members, with an emphasis on safety.

Stay current with local/national codes and industry standards to ensure compliance.

Ensure quality standards are met through all phases of work, including inspections.

Respond to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time.

Follow company safety and employee policies.

Promote Design Mechanical's values and culture.

Ensure proper use of company assets and resources.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance to meet the position’s requirements.

Perform other related duties as assigned within the Piping Department.
Requirements:

4-year apprenticeship certificate or 4 years of relevant field experience.

Extensive knowledge of construction pipefitting practices and safety procedures.

Working knowledge of national and local codes and industry standards.

Must obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications for specific work areas.

Must possess journeyman tools.

Reliable transportation to and from work.
Compensation:
-
Pay Range: $28 - $37/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
