

The Apprentice Lineman assists in the construction and maintenance of power lines and electrical equipment. This role supports senior Linemen and contributes to reliable electrical service by performing various technical tasks in the field.
Key Responsibilities

Support construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, and electrical equipment.

Connect, disconnect, install, remove, or move devices such as transformers, regulators, and capacitor banks.

Reroute power lines as necessary to avoid existing structures.

Inspect and remove damaged power lines.

Assist in pole setting, including carrying poles, digging holes, etc.

Perform line switching or sectionalizing under direction.

Follow all safety and health procedures.

Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Must obtain a valid Class A CDL within 3 months of employment.

Must pass a DOT physical and drug test.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Skills and Abilities

Adaptability to seasonal weather conditions.

Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift 50+ lbs unassisted, and perform related manual labor.
Supervision

This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
