As an Electrician I, you’ll play a key role in assembling, programming, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems for specialized vehicles that serve critical industries, including fire and emergency services. Primary Function:
Install, program, and troubleshoot 12V DC and 110V AC electrical systems on emergency response vehicles. Perform electrical system testing and functionality checks to ensure all products meet engineering specifications and performance standards.
Tools and Equipment Used:

Electrical diagnostic tools (multimeters, test lights)

Common hand tools and power tools (drills, screw guns)

Engineering schematics and wiring diagrams

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Materials Handled:

Electrical harnesses, switch panels, and circuit boards

12V DC and 110V AC wiring systems

Light packages, sirens, airhorns, door locks, and electronic components
Key Responsibilities:
-
Assemble under-dash harnesses, switch panels, circuit boards, and electrical components.

Program vehicle lighting systems according to engineering specifications.

Troubleshoot and repair 12V DC and 110V AC electrical circuits.

Perform functionality tests on electrical systems, including light packages, sirens, airhorns, flash patterns, and door locks.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring layouts to ensure vehicles are built to spec.

Identify and correct quality issues during the assembly process.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all company safety policies.
Qualifications:
-
Preferred 1–2 years of automotive electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Strong understanding of both 12V DC and 110V AC circuitry.

Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
-
Proficient in the use of common hand tools and power tools.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Must pass a drug screening and background check.
Physical Requirements:

Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.

Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs without assistance.

Comfortable working with arms overhead and in non-temperature-controlled environments.

Ability to safely operate and understand the use of protective safety equipment.
