Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Combo Welder to join our team. As a Combo Welder, you'll be responsible for welding metal parts according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders. You will apply heat or electric arc-welding equipment to join metal components.
This is a full-time maintenance job, working 40 hours a week. There is no per diem or relocation funding provided.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Welding:
-
Perform welding on 2" sch 10 and 2" heavy-wall carbon steel using GTAW.

Weld structure and pipe using FCAW and TIG on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Perform full penetration welds with SMAW and flux core welding applications.

Start and complete x-ray welds using the GTAW and SMAW weld processes.

Tool Operation:

Unite pipes from the torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas.

Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently following all regulations.

Safety Compliance:
-
Wear necessary protective gear such as rain gear, chemical protective clothing, respirators, safety harnesses, fire-resistant coveralls, hard hats, and earplugs.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols in all tasks.

Physical Requirements:
-
Must have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to work in various positions (standing, bending, sitting, kneeling).

Climb stairs and work at heights when necessary.

Other Duties:

Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
-
Experience:
-
3-5 years of Journeyman-level welding experience in an industrial setting.

Proficient in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using GTAW, FCAW, SMAW, and TIG processes.

Education:

No minimum education requirements.

Certification:
-
Must be able to pass a weld test.

Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to work wearing personal protective equipment and meet physical demands.
