The pipefitter will work with various piping and plumbing systems including water, sewage, steam distribution, medical gas systems (oxygen, medical air, etc.), and natural gas systems. The role also includes mechanical work related to HVAC systems and knowledge of infection control procedures in a healthcare environment.
Duties:
-
Perform installation, removal, demolition, and alteration of plumbing and piping systems.

Work with high, medium, and low-pressure steam distribution systems, including pipes, valves, and tanks.

Perform mechanical work on HVAC systems such as installing ductwork, HVAC coils, and VAV boxes.

Ensure infection control measures are followed during construction in healthcare settings.
Requirements:
-
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
-
Physical Requirements: Requires physical effort, including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional outdoor work.

Background Check & Physical Exam: Applicants must pass a background/security investigation and a pre-employment physical.

Selectives: Registration with Selective Service required (if applicable).
Qualifications:

Applicants must show evidence of sufficient training or experience to meet the job requirements.

Skills: Ability to interpret blueprints, use and maintain hand tools, troubleshoot, and perform technical work in various mechanical systems.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
-
Experience in pipefitting and HVAC installation.

Knowledge of infection control in healthcare construction.
