Job Summary
As a Heavy Equipment Operator II, you will operate a variety of heavy equipment vehicles used for spreading and compacting construction, demolition, and municipal waste at WM’s post-collection facilities.
Key Responsibilities
-
Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with WM policies and procedures.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance; maintain accurate maintenance records.

Move and position raw materials and finished goods using loaders, excavators, or articulated dump trucks (ADTs).

Follow standard operating procedures for equipment use and vehicle care.

Perform other tasks as needed and assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience: 3+ years of experience with excavators, wheel loaders, or articulated dump trucks.

Education: No formal education required.
-
Licensing/Certification: None required.

Physical Requirements:
-
Use of motor coordination and finger dexterity throughout the workday.
-
Occasionally handle items up to 30 lbs.
-
Work in environments with dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
